I'm a stay-at-home-mom of four mites, and the wife of a very loving and supportive husband who just might be my biggest fan.  I am currently working on several projects, some of which are in the revision stages while others are embryos, waiting to be born. 

I absolutely adore the cult favorite, tokidoki, and am a lifelong fan of the entire Final Fantasy series of games.  I live and breathes music.  My favorite bands include The Fratellis, The Deftones, The Cure, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Paramore, and Muse. I also love classical music, my favorites pieces being Mozart's Requiem, and the entire Romeo and Juliet score by Sergei Prokofiev.

When reading, I always reach for something from the Young Adult section first, though I do love books written for adults as well.  My favorite authors include Tamora Pierce, Charlotte Bronte, Anne Rice, Suzanne Collins, Sue Grafton, and Stephen King.  I grew up reading a lot of fantasy and horror novels, with R.L. Stine, Stephen King, and Christopher Pike feeding the latter, while Tamora Pierce and her Lioness Quartet fed the former.

If you can't tell, I love a good horror story, as well as a great romance, and nothing really combines fear and love quite like a YA novel, where new emotions can be just as frightening as what's lurking in the dark.  I'm hoping to one day complete the manuscript for the bloodiest romantic YA book ever written. It's my hope that it'll bring more people toward the dark side...because we have so much more than cookies.

I get asked this a lot, so I'll answer it right now. My favorite movie is Drop Dead Fred and wish above all things that everyone did it like pigeons.  If you haven't watched it yet, please do. Snotface.

I collect and love Hello Kitty, tokidoki, and vendettas.  The day all three are combined, my life will be complete.

Lastly, I'm a big, huge, ginormous fan of you. You, who read, who take that step through the looking glass and enter into worlds that are sometimes so fantastical or horrific that real life just can't compare. Thank you for making those leaps, and thank you for wanting to take me with you.
